COVID-19 Spring Booster Vaccination

COVID-19 Spring Boosters are now due for anyone over 75 or immunosuppressed in Somerset. You can call 119 to make a booking, or go online to  https://bit.ly/SomersetCovidBookings. There are walk-in clinics in many local areas where no appointment is needed. You can find your nearest here https://bit.ly/CovidWalkInSomerset. Covid-19 levels are very high in Somerset and the jab is the first line of defence. If you have an elderly relative, friend or neighbour that may need some help to book an appointment, please reach out to them to check, as the vaccination is the best way to keep them safe.

Living with COVID-19 - Lifting of Restrictions 24th February 2022

Earlier this week the Prime Minister outlined the plan for Living with COVID-19.  For healthcare settings there are no immediate changes.  Our team will continue to ask if you have COVID symptoms or if you have tested positive for COVID-19 not to attend the surgery.  The requirement to wear a mask/face covering in healthcare settings remain in place.  We will ask you to continue to respect this and wear a face covering when coming into the surgery.
Please use the hand sanitisers available and keep your distance from others.  As a healthcare provider we have sick and vulnerable patients coming to see us (remember some of these cannot have the vaccines) they need to be protected, so it would be wrong of us to remove the precautions we have in place.
COVID 19 has not gone.  Please help us to continue to keep you, our staff and wider population all safe.
